Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Senior Presales Engineer to architect complex Land Mobile Radio infrastructure, guiding the technical journey from scope to sale. You will lead design efforts, coordinate with sales and service teams, and ensure our solutions meet critical mission requirements.

You will mentor teams, deliver high-impact presentations, and craft implementation strategies that align with customers’ safety needs while advancing revenue goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of sales, sales engineering, public safety experience OR 8+ years of sales, sales engineering, public safety experience
• Strong knowledge of wireless fundamentals and voice/data architectures (APCO P25, LTE, 802.11, 3G/4G)
• Strong knowledge of IP networking architecture, protocols and security
• Knowledge of RF coverage predictions, traffic/capacity modeling, and related toolsets
• Strong written and oral communications skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Willingness to think out of the box and challenge the status quo
• Attention to detail and a flawless execution mindset

• Coordination with Systems Integration, Service, Sales, and Product Groups to address goals
• Crafting strategic implementation approaches and service plans to secure project wins
• Meeting/exceeding customer requirements and providing value alternatives when needed
• Managing to Motorola’s sales, revenue and margin goals
• Driving sole source & RFP projects to completion with project-team coordination
