Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Senior Presales Engineer to architect complex Land Mobile Radio infrastructure. You will own the technical journey from scope to sale, leading a team across sales, service and engineering to craft tailored, mission-critical designs.

The role requires deep wireless and IP networking knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage customer expectations while driving proposals and negotiations. West Coast or TX candidates preferred, up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years in sales, sales engineering, solutions architecture, military and/or public safety.
• Strong knowledge of wireless fundamentals and voice/data architectures (APCO P25, LTE, 802.11, 3G/4G).
• Strong IP networking knowledge and security concepts.
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor to customers and sales team.
• Lead technology strategy development and radio coverage design.
• Generate equipment lists and develop comprehensive system designs.
• Create detailed technical diagrams and power/network calculations.
