Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Senior Presales Engineer to architect complex Land Mobile Radio (LMR) infrastructure and lead the technical journey from scope to sale. You will work with sales, service, and engineering to tailor robust designs that meet mission-critical needs, guiding proposals and customer engagements toward successful outcomes.

You will apply expertise in wireless fundamentals, IP networking, RF coverage, and strategic communication to influence technical decisions, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years in sales, sales engineering, solutions architecture, military and/or public safety, or 10+ years in the same fields.
• Strong knowledge of wireless fundamentals and voice/data architectures (APCO P25, LTE, 802.11, 3G/4G) is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking, protocols and security.
• Knowledge of RF coverage predictions and traffic/capacity modeling is an asset.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor to customers and sales team.
• Lead requirements discovery and technology strategy development.
• Design radio coverage and develop system diagrams.
• Generate equipment lists and detailed technical designs.
• Contribute to proposals and contract negotiations.
• Deliver compelling technical presentations to executives.
• Coordinate with Systems Integration, Service, Sales and Product teams.
