Job summary

MasTec Renewables seeks a Senior Preconstruction Manager to lead preconstruction activities, manage risk, and oversee the handoff to operations across multiple projects. You will coordinate with estimating, procurement, legal, and engineering, ensuring robust subcontractor and vendor relationships and strong cost control.

The role supports a national portfolio with option for remote work and travel to field sites; leadership responsibilities include mentoring, reporting, and process improvement

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in CM, Law, Business or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience with 2+ years in Project Management.
• 2+ years in Preconstruction required.
• Licensed professional (lawyer/engineer/PM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, manage, and supervise the preconstruction operations team.
• Develop and implement Preconstruction strategy, budget, and plan.
• Establish relationships with clients and internal teams.
• Assist in procurement negotiations and subcontracting.
• Prepare monthly reports and cost-to-complete updates.
• Travel to project locations as needed (up to 50%).
