Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to serve as the owner's representative in GES NA D&C, guiding cross-functional industrial projects from site selection to contract execution.

You will lead planning, design, and preconstruction activities, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to ensure scope, budget, and schedule alignment and successful handoff to construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Construction Management.
• 5+ years of project management experience in design through implementation.
• Experience with packaging, processing, or logistical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage cross-functional industrial preconstruction projects from site selection through design, permitting, and contract execution.
• Lead site selection, validation, scope development, and design management per Amazon standards.
• Manage multiple large projects across locations and drive timely decisions to remove blockers.
• Identify and resolve upstream issues to support a clean handoff to construction managers.
• Monitor KPIs for safety, quality, cost, schedule, and sustainability.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or an equivalent engineering science
