Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Preconstruction Manager within Global Engineering Services North America Design & Construction. You will act as Amazon's owner’s representative, managing complex industrial preconstruction projects from site selection through design completion, permitting, and contract execution across the region.

You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure scope, budget, and schedule are defined, and lead planning, design, and preconstruction for built-to-suit

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience from design through operation in commercial development.
• Experience with packaging, processing, or logistical facilities with complex equipment.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage cross-functional industrial preconstruction from site selection through design completion, permitting, and contract execution.
• Lead site selection, scope development, and design management per Amazon's standards.
• Manage multiple large projects across locations and drive timely decisions to remove blockers.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, and KPI tracking; ensure safety, quality, and sustainability metrics.
