Job summary

Amazon's Global Engineering Services NA Design & Construction hires a Preconstruction Manager to act as the owner's rep, leading cross‑functional industrial preconstruction from site selection through design, permitting, and contract execution. You will manage scope, budget, schedule, and risk, coordinate with Real Estate, Design Engineering, and Construction teams, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Travel up to 60% nationwide; relocation may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• 5+ years of project management experience on design through implementation in commercial development or construction.
• Experience with packaging, processing, or logistical facilities with complex equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage cross‑functional industrial preconstruction projects from site selection through design completion, permitting, and contract execution.
• Lead site validation, scope development, and design management to comply with Amazon's standards.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects across locations and drive timely decisions.
• Assess KPIs for safety, quality, cost, schedule, and sustainability.
• Coordinate with Real Estate, Design Engineering, Entitlements, Construction, Finance, and external partners.
