Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Precast Concrete Inspector III to act as the senior QC authority on precast and prestressed products. You will establish plant QC programs, prepare facilities for PCI audits, and resolve complex acceptance questions with engineers of record.

The role requires PCI Certification Level III with 6+ years of experience, strong knowledge of PCI and DOT specs, and the ability to supervise Level I/II inspectors across multiple plants and projects.

Qualifications

• PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level III (current) with 6+ years in precast and prestressed QC, including supervision.
• Strong knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and state DOT precast specifications.
• Experience preparing plants for PCI certification and hosting audits.
• Credible with plant managers, engineers of record, and DOT inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain plant QC programs and manuals to PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT requirements.
• Prepare plants for PCI certification audits and DOT approvals.
• Lead corrective actions and resolve structural acceptance questions on prestressed products with the engineer of record.
• Audit supplier plants for owners and agencies; qualify precast suppliers.
• Supervise and develop Level I and II inspectors across plants and projects.
