Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Senior Precast Inspector III to lead quality control across plants, preparing for PCI audits and DOT approvals, and supervising Level I and II inspectors.

You will work with plant managers, engineers of record, and inspectors to resolve prestressed product acceptance questions, audit supplier plants for owners, drive PCI standards (MNL-116/117) and AASHTO compliance, and travel as needed. PCI Level III certification with 6+ years of precast QC is required.

Qualifications

• PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level III, current, with 6+ years of precast and prestressed QC including supervision.
• Strong knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and state DOT precast specifications.
• Experience preparing a plant for PCI certification and hosting the audit.
• Ability to work with plant managers, engineers of record, and DOT inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain plant QC programs and manuals to PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT requirements.
• Prepare plants for PCI certification audits and DOT approvals.
• Lead corrective actions and resolve structural acceptance questions on prestressed products with the engineer of record.
• Audit supplier plants on behalf of owners and agencies; supervise and develop Level I and II inspectors across plants and projects.
