Job summary

Everpure, formerly Pure Storage, is seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Systems Engineer for Higher Education in the Northeast. You will lead technical engagements across R1 universities, aligning technology with research outcomes and funding constraints.

Location: MA/NY/PA with remote options. You will collaborate with account managers, specialists, and partners to design compelling solutions and responses to RFIs/RFPs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technology, solution design, and customer-facing roles.
• Proven pre-sales or customer-facing technical experience.
• Ability to connect customer needs to business, operational, and financial outcomes.
• Comfort communicating with engineers, executives, and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Understand institutional research priorities and funding cycles.
• Connect Everpure solutions to measurable research outcomes.
• Lead evaluations, benchmarks, and proofs of concept.
• Author RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs responses.
• Own the technical win and defend proposed solutions.
