Everpure, a data platform leader, is hiring a Senior Pre-Sales Systems Engineer to support our Higher Education business, focusing on R1 research universities in the MD/VA region. You will develop deep understanding of institutional priorities, connect technology to outcomes, tailor discussions across PIs, CIOs, finance, and procurement, and lead evaluations, benchmarks, and proofs of concept.

Qualifications

8 or more years of relevant experience across technology, solution design, and customer-facing communication.
Pre-sales or customer-facing technical experience.
Broad technical depth across cloud, HPC, AI/ML infrastructure, data management, or analytics.
Track record of selling on value: linking customer goals to outcomes.
Ability to engage with engineers, executives, finance, and procurement.
Curiosity, empathy, an open mind, and a genuine appetite for continuous learning.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop an understanding of research institutions' priorities and decision makers.
Link the Everpure portfolio to measurable research outcomes.
Tailor conversations to audiences from PIs to CIOs.
Build a business case including TCO, power, and data center footprint.
Support research workloads from instruments to AI pipelines.
Respond to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs effectively.
Stay current on market trends and competition.
