Job summary

Planet seeks a Pre-Sales Sr. Solutions Architect to design complex solutions leveraging Planet's data and services for defense and intelligence customers.

The role is fully remote, based in South Korea, with up to 50% travel and close collaboration with Customer Success, Product Management, and Business Development. You will articulate value, build trusted advisor relationships, and craft responses to tenders while aligning technical strategy with sales plans.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of technical experience with the South Korean defense and intelligence community.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Ability to travel up to 50% including international travel.
• Experience with GIS and Remote Sensing in the Defense sector.
• Ability to obtain and maintain eligibility for a South Korean security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver solution demonstrations highlighting value of Planet's offerings.
• Build relationships with customers' technical and management staff as trusted advisor.
• Act as senior technical advisor to recommend solutions architecture.
• Craft technical responses to tenders, RFIs/RFPs, and proposals.
• Partner with sales to drive the technical strategy across accounts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to voice the customer and assist with RFP/RFI submissions.
• Represent needs to Sales leadership with forecasts, pipeline, and CRM data.
• Present to executive Government stakeholders within the South Korean Government.
• Mentor team members and lead training to drive development.
