Job Juncture seeks a Pre-Sales Applications Engineer for Robotic Welding & Automated Systems in Pewaukee, WI. This on-site role focuses on evaluating parts and prints, designing robotic welding cell concepts, and delivering high-value technical proposals.

You will lead pre-sales activities, collaborate with sales and engineering, and travel ~15% for customer engagements and design reviews. A 2-year technical or 4-year engineering degree with 7+ years in welding is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of technical expertise in welding automation or robotic systems integration.
• Solid understanding of GMAW/MIG, GTAW/TIG processes and how material selection affects automation.
• Proficiency reviewing or drafting conceptual cell layouts using AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Strong presentation and communication skills to interface with client teams and plant leadership.
• US citizenship or Green Card holder; resides within ~45-minute radius of Pewaukee, WI.

Responsabilités

• Lead as the main pre-sales technical contact; review customer parts and specs for weld feasibility.
• Architect welding automation concepts including processes, power sources, tooling, and robot layouts (FANUC/ABB).
• Develop technical proposals with sales and engineering teams including layouts, cycle-time estimates, and BOMs.
• Coordinate weld sample evaluations, process trials, and feasibility testing.
• Travel to customer facilities (~15%); lead design reviews and present proposed automation solutions.
• Ensure weld processes meet AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, and customer specs.
