Job summary
6 Degrees Search is seeking a Pre-Sales Applications Engineer for Robotic Welding & Automated Systems in Pewaukee, WI. This on-site, 1st shift role offers a direct-hire path and a competitive compensation package with benefits.
The candidate will lead technical feasibility, architect welding cell concepts, and develop compelling proposals. Requirements include 7+ years in robotic welding/pre-sales, deep GMAW/GTAW expertise, and CAD proficiency.
Qualifications
- 7+ years in welding automation or robotic systems integration.
- Solid understanding of GMAW/MIG and GTAW/TIG welding processes.
Responsibilities
- Review customer parts and drawings to evaluate weld feasibility.
- Architect robotic cell concepts and select welding processes and tooling.
- Develop technical proposal content and BOMs with sales/engineering.
- Coordinate weld sample evaluations and feasibility testing.
- Travel to customer facilities ~15% for requirements gathering and reviews.
