Job summary

Sotero is seeking a Director/Senior Pre‑Sales Engineer to join our rapidly growing US-based sales, channel and business development teams. This senior role offers a hands-on opportunity to drive technical value in enterprise data security across on‑premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.

The candidate will lead technical selling efforts, enable partners, and work closely with Product Management and Engineering. Location is flexible within the USA and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in a sales engineer/consultant or post-sales role.
• Strong technical skills in relational databases and data warehousing.
• Familiarity with major cloud providers and cloud enablement platforms.
• Security background (encryption, PKI, access control) is a plus.
• Customer-facing or sales-support experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Technical selling efforts (presentations, proofs-of-concept) to prospects, customers and partners.
• Collaborate with alliance partners and channel partners to drive opportunities.
• Provide technical enablement and training for partner SEs and solution architects.
