Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer for the Data Security Group. In this role you will be a trusted advisor to Account Managers and customers, focusing on Data Security and Insider Risk. You will deliver People-Centric security solutions, drive POC projects, and help articulate complex architectures to win deals.

You will collaborate with Sales Specialists, engineers, and product teams to ensure technical wins and excellent customer satisfaction. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years selling solutions as a Sales Engineer or related area in Data Security/Insider Risk.
• Solid understanding of the cybersecurity market landscape and competition.
• Expertise in core security technologies such as Enterprise DLP, CASB, Insider Threat, Endpoint Security, Isolation, DSPM.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to architect solutions addressing customer business issues and share the Big Picture insight.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Drive high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with account teams to develop and execute targeted penetration strategies.
• Be the main technical contact with customers and prospects throughout the process.
• Lead technical discovery, planning, and evaluations (POC and Production).
• Design and champion complex People-Centric Security solutions across Data Security portfolio.
• Support professional services deployments and industry seminars when needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer success and technical wins.
• Provide customer insights to Product Management and Engineering.
