Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer in the Data Security Group to serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the pre-sales process. You will design and present data security solutions, including DLP, Insider Risk, and DSPM, to enterprise customers.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in sales engineering for cybersecurity, strong communication skills, and a relevant degree. Travel is required; CST time zone alignment preferred in Eastern time.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years selling solutions as a Sales Engineer or related areas.
• Strong understanding of the Cybersecurity market landscape, especially Data Security and Insider Risk.
• CISSP or similar industry certification preferred; Bachelor's or advanced degree required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead in the pre-sales process for Proofpoint's Data Security offerings.
• Collaborate with account teams to develop strategic penetration plans and build customer trust.
• Deliver compelling technical presentations and POCs to customers and prospects.
• Work with Product, Professional Services, Support, and Engineering to ensure customer satisfaction.
