Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Sr Pre-Construction Manager to oversee nationwide pre-construction program execution for multiple data center campuses.

You will serve as the primary liaison between Real Estate, Design Engineering, Due Diligence, and partner teams to forecast schedules and budgets, ensuring constructability guidance throughout design and planning. The role demands extensive practical construction experience, especially with bidding, contracting, and large-scale

Qualifications

• Experience in management of large, complex data center projects with MEP emphasis.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and related accreditation.
• Experience in data center delivery from design through construction execution.

Responsibilities

• Be the construction representative on multiple data center sites from due diligence through hand-off.
• Direct interface with general contractors during bidding and award.
• Create SOW and RFP for construction projects.
• Negotiate bids and evaluate proposals with detail and accuracy.
• Manage cost, schedule, and quality while coordinating contractors and vendors.
• Perform pre-construction PM activities: docs, submittals, RFIs, change orders, invoices, quality, schedule.
• Drive root-cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Support capital request creation and reporting of progress.
• Provide constructability reviews for civil, structural, electrical and mechanical designs.
