Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Pre-Construction Manager to define and scope data center contracts and support nationwide pre-construction execution.

You will liaise with Real Estate, Design-Engineering, Due Diligence, Construction Management, and Procurement to support planning, budgeting, and constructability guidance. The role requires practical construction experience in bidding, contracting, and design, with travel up to 25% and a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency across

Qualifications

• 3+ years of vendor management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or 3+ years of construction/project management experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Define construction scope for RFPs to GCs; review bid summaries, schedules, milestones, pricing, and subcontractor bids.
• Assist in evaluating bids, proposals, scoping documents, and negotiations with general contractors.
• Assist in managing GC and third-party vendors delivering preconstruction services during design.
