Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Pre-Construction Manager to lead nationwide pre-construction program execution from planning through design across multiple campuses.

You will coordinate with Real Estate, Design Engineering, and Due Diligence teams to forecast schedules, manage budgets, and provide constructability guidance, with extensive construction experience and travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience in data centers or similar infrastructure.
• Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform constructability reviews of critical scopes for new data center sites.
• Drive baseline improvements and coordinate build phasing across civil, structural, and electrical fields.
• Define site requirements impacting schedule, cost, and delivery.
• Conduct bid evaluations, negotiate with land sellers and general contractors.
• Manage preconstruction services and issue contracting documents.
• Develop handoff documentation to Construction Manager partners.
• Share lessons learned to improve program delivery.
