Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Sr Pre-Construction Manager to lead pre-construction program execution across nationwide data center campuses. You will liaise with Real Estate, Design Engineering and Due Diligence to forecast schedules, budgets and constructability guidance.

You will manage interfaces with general contractors, develop SOWs and RFPs, and monitor cost, schedule and quality while driving construction initiatives to improve efficiency and resiliency.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction management of large, complex projects involving MEP plants.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required for this role.
• Experience delivering data center projects, design, commissioning and construction

Responsibilities

• Be Amazon's construction representative on multiple data center sites from Due Diligence through hand-off.
• Interface with general contractors during bidding and award processes.
• Create SOWs and RFPs for construction projects and evaluate bids.
• Manage cost, schedule and quality while overseeing contractors and vendors.
• Perform pre-construction activities such as document control, RFIs, submittals and change orders.
• Drive teams to troubleshoot equipment failures and perform root-cause analysis.
• Support capital requests and report on progress and financials.
• Record and report key construction metrics to leadership.
• Contribute to initiatives improving construction efficiency and resilience.
• Provide constructability reviews for civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical designs.
