Job summary

Tufts Medicine is seeking a senior-level administrative leader to manage daily practice operations and physician practice activities, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, high-quality patient care. You will provide managerial leadership to providers and staff and coordinate with multiple hospital departments.

The role requires strong budgeting, personnel management, and data-driven performance improvement skills, with a focus on improving patient flow and satisfaction across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, or related field or equivalent combo of education and experience such as Associate’s degree + 2 years relevant business experience.
• Two years of healthcare management or practice management experience working directly with physicians and practice members.
• Five years of healthcare management or practice management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily practice operations of one or more employed practices to ensure efficiency, patient flow and satisfaction.
• Handles day-to-day personnel issues including hiring, evaluations, discipline and coaching; ensures orientation for new employees.
• Monitors practice expenses; maintains accounts payable records; approves expenditures and bills.
• Leads monthly meetings with providers and staff to review policies and care delivery improvements.
• Collaborates with billing/finance to understand AR, denial trends, and referral management.
• May assist in annual practice budget development and monitor monthly budget performance.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA, Meaningful Use, AQC and MSSP quality measures.
• Drives cost-effective, high-quality care and patient satisfaction; promotes performance improvement.
• Acts as liaison between practices and hospital departments (Physician Services, IT, Purchasing, PHO, Finance).
