Job summary

Tufts Medicine is seeking a Director of Practice Operations for Quincy and Middleton to lead ambulatory care across multiple sites. The role reports to the VP of Community Practice Operations and focuses on access, financial performance, revenue-cycle optimization, and regional strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years of healthcare management or practice management experience working directly with physicians and practice members.

Responsibilities

• Directs practice operations managers in day-to-day operations of employed outpatient physician practices to ensure operational efficiency, fiscal stability and patient/employee satisfaction.
• Collaborates with managers to implement best practice models and develop guidelines for prioritizing work activities.
• Oversees budgets, reviews P&L, and creates action plans for improvements across practices.
• Maintains policies and procedures, manuals, and standardized processes to ensure consistency.
• Collaborates with physician recruitment and onboarding teams to ensure timely transitions for new acquisitions.
• Works with physician organizations to achieve performance under managed risk contracts and value-based care initiatives.
