Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal System Planning and Studies Engineer to join the Power Delivery & Renewables unit in North America. The role coordinates the PD&R team, oversees hands-on planning and studies, and engages with clients to drive project execution and growth.

The candidate will also collaborate across substation, protection, control, and transmission teams, ensuring adherence to codes, safety, and quality standards while supporting business development and client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• PE License certification is required.
• Ph.D. degree in Power Systems is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the System Planning & Studies team with resource planning and quality reviews.
• Perform HVAC and HVDC power systems analyses including load-flow, short-circuit, and transient stability.
• Develop and optimize power system planning processes, methods, and tools for quality and efficiency.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

PE License certification

Ph.D. degree in Power Systems (Strongly Preferred)
