Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal System Planning and Studies Engineer to lead the Power Delivery & Renewables team in North America. The role focuses on hands-on power system planning, studies, and project/proposal leadership, coordinating with multiple engineering groups and clients. Travel up to 20% is possible.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in North American market operators, PSCAD/PSS/E proficiency, and a PE license, with a PhD strongly preferred for advanced expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• PE License certification required.
• Experience leading planning/feasibility studies for utility/developer clients in North America.
• Proficient with PSCAD and PSS/E for load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability analyses.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow System Planning & Studies team with leadership in Power Delivery & Renewables.
• Perform and coordinate HVDC/HVAC power system analyses including load-flow and stability studies.
• Lead development of planning processes, methodologies, and tools for quality and efficiency.
• Serve as Project/Proposal/Program/Account Manager and Technical Lead for client engagement and growth.
