Qualifications

• Proven track record in power system design, distribution, controls engineering, and hardware development for material handling systems.
• Experience with tote/parcel conveyance and sortation operations.
• Ability to develop engineering standards influencing mechanical design and drive multi-year roadmaps.
• Experience performing arc flash studies and electrical load calculations.
• Familiarity with NEC/NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E standards.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize 3-phase power systems and distribution for material handling.
• Specify MDBs, PDPs, and electrical substations with proper sizing and protection.
• Create single-line diagrams, schematics, and panel schedules.
• Perform power quality, fault current, and coordination studies.
• Select transformers, switchgear, breakers, bus ducts, and related equipment.
• Develop scalable power distribution that emphasizes reliability and maintainability.
• Establish panel grounding and safety circuit design best practices.
• Prepare A/E drawing sets and coordinate with mechanical, structural, and civil teams.
• Maintain compliance with NEC/NFPA 70E and NFPA 70.
