Job summary

RESA Power is seeking a Sr. Field Tech to service power systems across Texas, including San Antonio, Houston and Austin. The role covers testing, startup, inspection, and repair of switchgear, transformers, and related equipment with strict safety adherence.

Candidates should have a HS diploma with relevant field experience and knowledge of NETA/NEC/OSHA/NFPA. Travel is 100%, strong communication and problem-solving are essential, with relocation and full benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED and minimum 1 year of related field experience.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as NETA, NEC, OSHA and NFPA.
• Ability to work safely and adhere to electrical safety procedures.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel (100% for some roles) and complete on-site reports.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and collect data on low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems up to 765kV.
• Perform switchgear and circuit breaker testing; transformer inspection and testing.
• Operate high voltage test equipment and support commissioning and startup activities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory laws and safety requirements; provide on-site reports.
• Support customers and peers to resolve issues; maintain strong documentation.
