Job summary

Lonestar Electric Supply seeks a Lead Field Service Technician - Power Systems in the greater Houston area. You will lead startups, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical power distribution systems at customer sites and oversee on-site field projects.

Role requires traveling across Texas with extended hours during critical activities, mentoring junior technicians, and ensuring NFPA 70E/OSHA safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years in field service, commissioning, or electrical testing.
• Strong experience with medium voltage and low voltage power distribution systems.
• Able to lead field projects independently.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead startup, commissioning, and testing of electrical power systems at customer sites.
• Perform advanced electrical testing (insulation resistance, relay testing, etc.).
• Interpret one-line diagrams, schematics, and control logic.
• Diagnose and resolve field system issues independently.
• Coordinate with customers, contractors, and engineers on-site lead.
• Mentor junior technicians and ensure safety compliance.
