Job summary

RESA Power is seeking a Sr. Field Tech for on-site work in San Antonio and Austin, TX. The role covers testing and maintenance of high-, medium-, and low-voltage equipment, including switchgear, transformers, and gas insulated gear up to 765 kV.

You will troubleshoot, data‑log, and support commissioning with a safety‑first approach. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED with 1+ year in related field, knowledge of NETA/NEC/OSHA/NFPA, safe work habits, and strong communication.

Qualifications

High School diploma/GED and 1+ year in a related field.
Knowledge of NETA, NEC, OSHA and NFPA standards.
Ability to work safely with electrical systems and follow safety procedures.
Good communication and problem‑solving skills.
Valid driver’s license for vehicle positions.

Responsibilities

Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and data-collect on HV and MV electrical systems up to 765kV.
Perform switchgear and circuit breaker testing and related duties.
Inspect and service transformers and associated equipment from 45 KVA to 1,120 MVA.
Operate high voltage test gear and assist with commissioning and repairs.
Maintain compliance with all regulatory safety standards and document results.
