Job summary

RESA Power in Cleveland, OH is seeking Sr. Service Field Techs and Technicians to service, test, and maintain power transmission and distribution equipment. You will inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-ups, and collect data across LV/MV/HV systems while ensuring safety compliance.

Roles cover transformers, switchgear, and breakers from 45 KVA to 130 MVA and up to 500 kV. This position involves on-call rotation, potential travel, and a requirement for strong communication and safety

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required.
• Safety knowledge includes lockout/tagout procedures and arc-flash and shock hazard analyses.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as NETA, NEC, OSHA and NFPA.
• Must be able to work safely and adhere to all electrical safety procedures.
• Strong theoretical understanding of electricity and good problem-solving aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up and collect data of low, medium and/or high voltage electrical systems.
• Low, Medium and/or High voltage switchgear and circuit breaker testing.
• Perform inspection, maintenance, testing and repair of transformers, circuit breakers and related equipment.
• Perform maintenance, testing and repair on circuit breakers up to 15 kV and switchgear up to 500 kV.
• Test and inspect low and medium voltage cable installations.
• Operate high voltage test equipment including Doble Power Factor test sets.
• Start-up, troubleshooting and repair on controls and transfer schemes.
