Job summary

RESA Power is seeking a Sr. Service Field Tech to perform testing, service, and start-up of power transmission equipment at customer sites in Orlando, FL. You will handle high voltage testing, switchgear, transformers, and related equipment, with on-site responsibility and on-call support.

Ideal candidates have NEC/NETA/OSHA/NFPA knowledge, experience with MCCs, breakers, relays, infrared scanning, and switchgear up to 500 kV, and can work safely and efficiently in a field setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED and 2 years of related field experience (Tech II).
• Power Systems Tech II requires safety knowledge including lockout/tagout, arc-flash analyses.
• Power Systems Tech III requires 5 years in related field and leadership capabilities.
• Power Systems Tech IV requires 5 years plus or 10 years related experience and supervisory ability.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, start-up and data collection for HV systems (to 500kV).
• Test and service high voltage switchgear and circuit breakers.
• Maintain and repair transformers and related equipment (45 KVA–130 MVA).
• Perform maintenance and testing on breakers (low to 15 KV).
• Operate high voltage test equipment (Doble PF tester).
• Perform start-up, troubleshooting and repair of controls and transfer schemes.
