Job summary

RESA Power is looking for a Service Field Tech to service and maintain power transmission and distribution equipment. This role involves testing, start-up, data collection, and on-site field support for high and medium voltage systems.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma, knowledge of NETA/NEC/OSHA/NFPA, and hands-on experience with test equipment up to 500kV. A valid driver's license and strong safety practices are required to protect customers and crews.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of NETA, NEC, OSHA and NFPA standards.
• Experience with testing switchgear up to 500kV.
• Ability to work safely and follow electrical safety procedures.
• Good communication and problem solving.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up and data collection on HV/LV systems up to 500kV.
• Test and service low, medium and high voltage switchgear and circuit breakers.
• Perform inspection, maintenance, testing and repair of transformers and related equipment (45 KVA to 130 MVA).
• Operate high voltage test equipment and Doble Power Factor test sets.
• Rotate on-call duties and respond to customer emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
