Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a highly seasoned Electrical SME to shape electrical infrastructure strategy for hyperscale data centers. You will lead MV/LV distribution architecture, redundancy planning, and utility interconnections, while guiding multidisciplinary teams and mentoring engineers.

You will engage with clients, present at industry forums, and contribute to standards and procurement strategy. The role combines hands-on design with strategic leadership across projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program (Master's preferred).
• PE License active in at least one U.S. state; NCEES record for reciprocal licensure as a condition of employment.
• 20+ years of professional electrical engineering experience, 15+ years in data center/mission-critical design.

Responsibilities

• Lead upfront power systems planning for hyperscale clients, defining MV/LV distribution and redundancy strategies.
• Provide technical governance across discipline teams, review calculations, drawings, and submittals.
• Mentor electrical engineers and designers; develop reusable calculation packages and reference designs.
