Job summary

Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems division seeks a Senior Power Systems Controls Engineer to lead design, programming, installation, startup, and optimization of automated control and power management systems in a hybrid role with travel across the Central US. Expect an annual salary range of $86,000–$126,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Engineering with at least 3 years of PLC programming and power distribution controls experience, or a high school diploma with 5+ years in power distribution controls.
This role requires a current, unrestricted driver’s license and residency within 50 miles of Glendale Heights, IL.

Responsibilities

Create, modify, test, and deploy PLC, data concentrators, protection relays, breaker control schemes, generator controllers, and HMI software for automatic power transfer.
Quote turnkey control schemes with specifications, labor/material pricing, and scope of work.
Assist with factory testing and field start-ups as required.
Troubleshoot systems onsite and remotely.
Select components and prepare bill of materials.
Provide sketches and direction to Electrical Designers for project drawings.
