Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems division is seeking a Senior Power Systems Controls Engineer to lead the design, programming, installation, startup, maintenance, and optimization of automated control and power management systems for critical infrastructure.

This is a hybrid role with approximately 50% travel in the Central United States. Salary ranges from $86,000 to $126,000 per year, plus paid overtime and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with PLC programming experience or a high school diploma with power distribution experience.
• Professional Engineer license is preferred.
• Experience with automation, HMI software, and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Create, test, and deploy PLC, data concentrator, protection relay, and HMI software for power transfer applications.
• Quote turnkey control schemes, analyze specs, and prepare scopes of work.
• Assist with factory tests and field start-ups.
• Troubleshoot onsite and remotely.
• Select components and prepare bill of materials.
• Provide drawings and direction to Electrical Designers.
