Job summary
Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems division seeks a Senior Power Systems Controls Engineer in the Glendale Heights, IL area. The role covers design, programming, installation, startup, maintenance, and optimization of automated control and power management systems with ~50% travel in the Central US.

Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in engineering with 3+ years PLC programming or 5+ years power distribution controls experience
- Bachelor’s degree Electrical Engineering preferred; PE license preferred
- Must reside within 50-mile radius of Glendale Heights, IL • valid driver's license
Responsibilities
- Create, modify, test, and deploy PLC, DConcentrators, relays, generator controllers, and HMIs for power transfer applications
- Quote turnkey control schemes including scope of work and cost
- Assist with factory testing and field start-ups
- Troubleshoot systems onsite and remotely
- Select components and create BOMs
- Provide sketches and direction to Electrical Designers for project drawings
