Job summary
Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems division seeks a Senior Power Systems Controls Engineer to lead design, programming, installation, startup, maintenance, and optimization of automated control and power management systems for critical infrastructure. Hybrid role with ~50% travel across the Gulf Region; salary range $86,000–$126,000 and a company vehicle.
You'll develop PLCs, HMIs, data concentrators, and protection relays for automatic transfer schemes, quote turnkey control
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in engineering with PLC experience or equivalent power distribution experience.
- Willingness to travel; valid driver's license and clean MVR.
- Experience reading electrical drawings and schematics.
Responsibilities
- Create, modify, test, and deploy software for PLCs, data concentrators, relays, and HMIs for automatic transfer applications.
- Quote turnkey control schemes and manage scope of work.
- Assist with factory testing and field start-ups.
- Troubleshoot systems onsite and remotely.
- Select components and create BOMs.
- Provide sketches and direction to electrical designers.
