Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Senior Power Systems Controls Engineer to join our Electrical Engineering Services & Systems division. You will lead the design, programming, installation, startup, maintenance, and optimization of automated control and power management systems for critical infrastructure.

This hybrid role involves approximately 50% travel across the Central Region of the United States. The position includes a competitive salary range with paid overtime and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with at least 3 years PLC programming and power distribution controls experience or 5 years with a high school diploma/GED.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; no relocation; within 50-mile radius.
• Preferred PE license and 5+ years in power system controls.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, test, and deploy PLC/HMI software for power transfer and protection schemes.
• Quote turnkey control schemes and prepare scopes of work.
• Assist with factory testing and field start-ups; troubleshoot onsite and remotely.
• Select components and prepare BOMs; provide guidance to Electrical Designers.
• Demonstrate safety and compliance with Eaton programs.
