Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Senior Power Systems Controls Engineer to lead design, programming, installation, startup, maintenance, and optimization of automated control and power management systems for critical infrastructure.

The role is hybrid with approximately 50% travel in the Central Region of the United States. Salary ranges from $86,000 to $126,000 annually and includes paid overtime and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering with at least 3 years of experience working with PLC programming and power distribution controls experience.
• Current, unrestricted driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record as per Eaton’s policy.
• Candidates must reside within 50-mile radius of listed job locations; no relocation offered; active-duty military exempt.

Responsibilities

• Create, test, and deploy software for PLCs, data concentrators, protection relays, and HMI for Automatic Power Transfer applications.
• Quote turnkey control schemes including specifications, labor/materials, and scope of work.
• Assist with factory testing and field start-ups as required.
• Troubleshoot systems onsite and remotely.
• Select components and create bill of materials.
• Provide sketches and direction to Electrical Designers for project drawings.
