Job summary

Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems division seeks a Senior Power Systems Controls Engineer to lead the design, programming, installation, startup and optimization of automated control and power management systems for critical infrastructure. Hybrid role with ~50% travel in the Gulf Region of the United States.

The PSC team provides single point responsibility across HMIs, PLCs, relays, and switchgear controls.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Engineering with 3+ years PLC and power distribution controls experience or 5+ years power distribution controls with HS diploma.
Valid driver’s license and favorable driving record; 50-mile radius residency required; relocation not offered.
Active-duty military exemptions apply; location-specific geographic requirements.

Responsibilities

Create, modify, test, and deploy PLCs, data concentrators, relays, and HMIs for automatic power transfer applications.
Quote turnkey control schemes, analyze specs, estimate labor and materials, and draft scope of work.
Assist with factory testing and field start-ups; troubleshoot onsite and remotely.
Select components and create BOMs; provide sketches and direction to Electrical Designers.
Collaborate with customers to deliver reliable, efficient power system solutions.
Support safety programs and maintain compliance with company policies.
