Eaton Corporation’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems division seeks a Senior Power Systems Controls Engineer to lead design, programming, installation, startup, maintenance, and optimization of automated control and power management systems. This hybrid role involves ~50% travel across the Gulf Region of the United States and collaboration with the PSC team to deliver robust power solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering with at least 3 years of experience working with PLC programming and power distribution controls experience OR a high school diploma/GED with at least 5 years of power distribution controls experience.
• Must have a current, unrestricted driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record; subject to MVR check on hire.
• All candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of listed locations; no relocation offered; active-duty military exempt from area limit.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, test, and deploy PLC, data concentrators, protection relays, and HMI software for automatic power transfer applications.
• Quote general turnkey control schemes including labor/materials, scope of work.
• Assist with factory testing and field start-ups as required.
• Troubleshoot systems onsite and remotely.
• Select components and create BOMs.
• Provide sketches and direction to Electrical Designers for project drawings.
