Job summary
Eaton Corporation’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems division seeks a Senior Power Systems Controls Engineer to lead design, programming, installation, startup, maintenance, and optimization of automated control and power management systems. Hybrid role with 50% travel across the Gulf Region of the United States.
You'll collaborate with customers to deliver reliable, efficient solutions powering critical infrastructure and will work on control schemes, PLC programming, and PLC and HMI
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in engineering with 3+ years PLC programming or 5+ years power distribution controls experience.
- Must have a current, unrestricted driver’s license and satisfactory MVR; no relocation offered.
- Reside within 50-mile radius of listed locations; Active-Duty Military exempt from geographic area limitation.
Responsibilities
- Create, modify, test, and deploy software for PLCs, data concentrators, protection relays, breaker control schemes, generator controllers, and HMIs for automatic power transfer applications.
- Quote general turnkey control schemes; analyze specs, price labor and materials, draft scope of work.
- Assist with factory testing and field start-ups; troubleshoot systems on-site and remotely.
- Select components and create bill of materials; provide sketches and direction to Electrical Designers for drawings.
