Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Senior Power Systems Controls Engineer to lead design, programming, installation, startup and optimization of automated control and power management systems for critical infrastructure. The role combines hands-on engineering with customer collaboration in a hybrid work model and requires up to 50% regional travel within the Central U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Engineering with PLC programming or 5+ years power distribution controls experience.
Must reside within 50 miles of listed location; valid driver’s license; DMV background check.
Willingness to travel up to 50% in Central Region.

Responsibilities

Create, modify, test, and deploy software for PLCs, data concentrators, protection relays, break control schemes, generator controllers, and HMIs for automatic power transfer.
Quote turnkey control schemes by analyzing specs, pricing labor and materials, and drafting scopes of work.
Assist with factory testing and field start-ups as required.
Troubleshoot systems onsite and remotely.
Select components and create bill of materials.
Provide sketches and direction to Electrical Designers to develop project drawings.
