Job summary

Join Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) team to develop, test, and implement power systems control solutions using PLCs, HMIs, and protection relays. This hybrid role requires about 35% on-site work in Windsor, CT and offers exposure to multi OEM equipment.

You will design and deploy PLC/HMI software for power transfer applications, select components, prepare BOMs and submittals, and support factory tests and field start-ups while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with extensive power distribution controls experience.
• Demonstrated experience with PLC/HMI software and protection relays.
• Strong ability to interpret customer specifications and standards.
• Valid driver license with acceptable MVR and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy PLC/HMI software for power transfer applications.
• Follow customer and internal specifications for project implementation.
• Select components and create bill of materials (BOM).
• Provide sketches and direction to Electrical Designers for drawings.
• Prepare submittals, SOPs, and test procedures.
• Assist with factory testing and field start-ups as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve systems not functioning correctly.
