Job summary

Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems division seeks a Senior Power Systems Controls Engineer to lead design, programming, installation, startup, maintenance, and optimization of automated power management systems.

This hybrid role involves ~50% travel across the Gulf Region. Salary ranges from $86,000 to $126,000 annually, with paid overtime and a company vehicle. Equal opportunity employment applies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 3+ years PLC programming and power distribution controls experience.
• Valid driver's license with clean Motor Vehicle Record; must reside within 50 miles of listed locations; no relocation offered.
• Preferred: Professional Engineering license; Electrical Engineering degree from an accredited institution; 5+ years in power system controls.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, test, and deploy software for PLCs, Data concentrators, Relays, and HMI for Automatic Power Transfer applications.
• Quote turnkey control schemes by analyzing specs and pricing labor/materials; draft scope of work.
• Assist with factory testing and field start-ups as required; troubleshoot systems onsite and remotely.
• Select components and create bill of materials; provide sketches to Electrical Designers for drawings.
