Job summary

Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems division seeks a Senior Power Systems Controls Engineer to lead design, programming, installation, startup, maintenance, and optimization of automated control and power management systems for critical infrastructure.

This hybrid role involves approximately 50% travel across the Gulf Region of the United States, with a salary range of $86,000 to $126,000 per year, paid overtime, and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering with 3+ years PLC programming and power distribution controls experience, or high school diploma/GED with 5+ years power distribution controls experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license with clean driving record and pass MVR check; must reside within 50 miles of listed locations; relocation not offered.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, test, and deploy PLC, data concentrators, relays, and HMI software for automatic power transfer applications.
• Quote turnkey control schemes including specs, labor and materials, and proposed scope of work.
• Assist with factory testing and field start-ups as required.
• Troubleshoot systems onsite and remotely.
• Select components and create bill of materials.
• Provide sketches and direction to Electrical Designers to develop project drawings.
