Job summary

Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems division seeks a Senior Power Systems Controls Engineer to lead design, programming, installation, startup, maintenance, and optimization of automated control and power management systems. This hybrid role involves ~50% travel in the Central US and collaboration with customers to deliver reliable power solutions.

Salary range is $86,000–$126,000 annually with paid overtime and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Engineering with PLC programming and power distribution controls experience.
High school diploma/GED with 5+ years in power distribution controls.
Must reside within 50-mile radius of listed locations; no relocation offered.
Regular Driver with valid license and clean MVR; background check required.

Responsibilities

Create, modify, test, and deploy PLC software, data concentrators, protection relays, and HMI for automatic power transfer applications.
Quote turnkey control schemes; analyze specs, labor and material costs, and write scopes of work.
Assist with factory tests and field start-ups as required.
Troubleshoot systems onsite and remotely.
Select components and create bill of materials.
Provide sketches and direction to Electrical Designers for project drawings.
