Job summary
Eaton is seeking a Power Systems Controls engineer to join its Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) team in Colorado. The hybrid role focuses on developing, testing, and deploying PLC and HMI software for power transfer applications, with responsibilities spanning from design to field start-ups.
The role offers a salary range of $97,000 to $143,000 annually, paid overtime, and a company vehicle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 7+ years of power distribution controls experience
- Master’s degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of power distribution controls experience
- 10 years of power distribution controls experience
Responsibilities
- Create, modify, test, and deploy PLC/HMI software for Power Transfer applications such as Main-Tie-Main and Paralleling Switchgears
- Follow customer and internal specifications for project implementation
- Select components and create bill of materials
- Provide sketches, mark-ups, and direction to Electrical Designers to develop project drawings
- Prepare customer submittals, Sequence of Operation (SOO), and test procedures
- Assist with factory testing and field start-ups as required
- Troubleshoot systems that are not functioning properly
