Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal System Planning and Studies Engineer to join the Power Delivery & Renewable team in North America. This senior role interfaces with the PD&R group on project engineering, management, and client engagement, driving quality and technical leadership across complex studies.

The role requires a PE license, a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, 12+ years in power system planning, and proficiency with PSCAD and PSS/E. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 12+ years of experience in Power System Planning and Studies.
• PE License required.
• Experience with North American market operators (MISO, PJM, NE-ISO, NY-ISO, ERCOT, CAISO, SPP).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the PD&R team and oversee power system planning activities.
• Lead load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability analyses.
• Develop processes and tools for quality and efficiency in planning.
• Act as Project Manager, Proposal Manager, and Technical Lead for client engagements.
• Mentor junior engineers and support business development.
