Job summary

Arcadis U.S.Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Principal System Planning and Studies Engineer to lead the Power Delivery & Renewables team in North America.

The role combines technical leadership, project management, and client engagement to deliver advanced power system analyses and planning studies for utility and developer clients. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 12+ years in power system planning, proficiency in PSCAD and PSS/E, and a PE license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a PE License are required.
• 12+ years of Power System Planning and Studies experience in North America.
• Proficiency with PSCAD and PSS/E; familiarity with PSLF, DigSILENT, or DSA Tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead the System Planning & Studies team and ensure resource planning on large projects.
• Perform load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability analyses and related studies.
• Develop and optimize planning processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Serve as Project Manager and Technical Lead for client engagements and proposals.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure QA/QC of team work.
• Collaborate with PD&R leadership on growth, strategy, and financial performance.
